Amica Work-Readiness Program

Compact Program

In the Compact Program, students develop skills and insights critical to understanding of self and strengths, and communication & collaboration techniques for working in teams. We also cover practical skills to help them nail job interviews.

MODULE EXAMPLES

  • Day 1: We cover what to expect from the world of work, and how to develop strong working relationships. Students also build self awareness and identify and understand their personal strengths.

  • Day 2: We focus on understanding group dynamics and how strengths diversity can be applied to build high performing teams. We also build impactful communication skills including verbal and non verbal communication.

  • Day 3: Students develop interview skills and run through mock interviews. We take things up a notch with creative problem-solving skill development and human-centred design.

  • Day 4: This all about collaboration skills in practical scenarios. Students work in teams to structure and deliver presentations and ideas.

Amica Schools Program FAQs.

How many students can participate in a program?

In order to deliver the best learning experience, we have a ratio of no more than 50:1 students to faciltator. For groups above this number, we’d suggest conducting two separate programs or sessions.

Can you run programs over school holidays?

Yes, we can and this is a great way to keep the momentum going over the holiday period. As long as we have a venue and school representatives in attendance, we’re good to go!

Can we pause a program due to unforeseen events?

We’re flexible and can adjust schedules to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.

Are Maxme facilitators Working With Children certified?

Yes, all our coaches and in fact our entire Maxme team have their Working with Children certification. We can provide these details along with any other vaccination details in advance of coming to your school.

Does a teacher or parent need to be present during an Amica program?

Yes, we do require teaching staff to be present during a program. This is both to hep supervise the students but also provides the opportunity for teachers to absorb content and perhaps reflect on how they can continue the learning post-program.

Do students need access computers to access Amica?

Because Amica is an online system (purpose-built by Maxme) students will require access to a computer. This is because as part of the program, they need to set up confidential profiles and complete online activities. The upside is that they can continue to access content after the program has finished.
